The Fog & The Fir

November 9–13, 2026
Nectar Yoga Retreat, Bowen Island, BC

Stillness and edge in the quiet of the wet, wild woods

An Invitation

It has been a long-held dream of mine to host a yoga retreat on one of the Gulf Islands of British Columbia because of its natural beauty and magic. Again and again, the rainy season here has brought me back to the most introspective version of myself, reminding me how to soften, restore, and listen.

We'll be on Bowen Island—nestled in Howe Sound, a fjord northwest of Vancouver—where I hope to share the rhythms of the fog and the firs with you. This is a retreat to explore our edges, pause, release, move, and rest, so that we can return to our own steady rhythms, together.

Wrapped in fog and fir, the world feels closer, slower, and more alive. Among coastal rain, ancient trees, and the grey hush of the Pacific Northwest, we'll stir things up and soften, work gently and deeply, rest and awaken. This is a place for thoughtful humans living full lives to pause, restore, and resource.

In the pause, you'll return to yourself.
In the fog and the fir, you'll remember how.

What You'll Carry Home

Along with memories, you'll leave with the imprint of the forest, the rhythm of the rain, and the clarity that comes when fog lifts.

In your body, you'll carry the reset that comes from moving between stillness and edge. In your heart, a deeper connection to yourself, grounded in the wild, wet beauty of the Pacific Northwest. In your hands, simple nervous system rituals—breathwork, meditation, movement, and journaling—that fit into real life when you need a reminder of how to return to your rhythm.

The Land

Nectar Yoga Retreat is a healing space that sits on 20 acres of forested land on Bowen Island, just a short 20-minute ferry ride from Vancouver. We acknowledge and honour that Nexwlélexwm (Bowen Island) is the ancestral and unceded territory of the Skwxwú7mesh (Squamish) Nation.

Modern, Scandinavian-inspired cottages provide the container for an easeful getaway in nature. Rest and recharge among the alder trees and vast varieties of Pacific Northwest flora and fauna. Each accommodation is thoughtfully designed with simplicity and coziness in mind, offering a sanctuary where you can truly settle in.
